Hi! I’m Tanya, the girl behind HeyTanya. Nice to meet you!
It all began more than ten years ago in a little flat in London where I spent countless nights sewing tiny clothes for my ball-jointed dolls. Sewing has always been one of my many hobbies, but it wasn’t until recently (while making simple alterations to a gown on my trusty and very basic domestic Brother machine) that I felt a spark strong enough to turn that passion into a business. That dopamine hit sent me down a rabbit hole of YouTube tutorials, and I made small, simple pouches and passport sleeves which I shared with family.
One remarkable trip to Tokyo rekindled my love for textiles, and with each little upgrade to my machines, my vision grew clearer. What started as a hobby has now become HeyTanya, a small lifestyle brand built on cozy, cute, and functional handmade goods.
Working in small batches, my goal is to bring warmth and personality into everyday essentials. From patchwork bags to quilted pouches, HeyTanya is where cute meets functional, and where a lifelong passion for hand-making things finds its home in your hands.
Oh, and if you were wondering about our logo, that’s RebReb! HeyTanya’s mascot was inspired by an illustration I did of my husband as his younger self. He’s become the little face of the brand, a reminder that this business is stitched not only with fabric and thread, but also with love and the people who inspire me every day.
I appreciate you for supporting my small business!
yours, Tanya
